Project Walkthrough
Mentor walks through the steps, decision points, and iterations they took with a past project. Mentees are encouraged to ask questions, which could include specifics about a technique or broad steps about project concepts or working with clients.
Walkthrough may include steps such as:
How the research question was developed
How the data was acquired or created
How data was cleaned
How the chart type was chosen
How the data visualization tool was chosen
How data was prepared
What steps were taken to create the chart or charts
What the feedback and revision process looked like
How it was determined that the project was complete
What lessons learned can be applied to future projects
