The visual identity of the Data Visualization Society is meant to be data driven, but also to be fun and welcoming. The name, specifically the use of the word society, conveys a sense of professionalism and importance that we wanted the rest of the identity to balance with less formality.

Proxima Nova has humanistic proportions with a somewhat geometric appearance. This workhorse has 7 weights and 3 widths.
Used for website and supporting materials for it’s versatility and ubiquity.
Each member has their own unique badge that’s a miniature data visualization of their assessment of skills in 9 different areas related to data visualization. Read more about it. Members can use their own badges to promote themselves, or for other personal publication.
